All of RG Industries Re-qualified circuit breakers have been inspected and tested for conformance within recognized industry standards and/or specifications. A typical thermal magnetic molded case circuit breaker undergoes up to 25 various re-qualification procedures, including but not limited to the following:
- Visual & Mechanical Inspection
- Contact & Insulation Testing
- Overcurrent Trip Testing
- Internal & External Auxillary Device Testing
- Connector & Operation Testing
- Final Re-Inspection & Certification
RG Industries certified test reports are available upon request for all our products. RG Industries also has AVO certified technicians on staff, with certificates for both low voltage and medium voltage circuit breaker maintenance as well as Molded-case, Insulated-case circuit breaker and air breaker maintenance. All of our testing is done on site, which in most cases allows us to have your product ready for shipment that day.
In addition, RG Industries prides itself on having the best equipment on hand to ensure that you, the customer, get the best out of your product. To name a few:
Phenix HC-30
- Tests up to 20,000 continuous amperage power
- Primary Injection (this gives you precise calibration)
- Can test breakers with 240/480/600v
Separately tests:
- Real time amperage
- Long delay
- Short delay
- Instantaneous delay
- And ground fault (if present)
Phenix HC-20
- Tests up to 10,000 continuous amperage power
- Primary Injection (this gives you precise calibration)
- Can test breakers with 240/480/600v
Separately tests:
- Real time amperage
- Long delay
- Short delay
- Instantaneous delay
- And ground fault (if present)
Secondary Test Kits
- TVRMS2- General Electric
- TS-31- Siemens
- UTS3- Square-D
- S33595- Square-D
- 1232C50G10- Cutler Hammer
Each of these test kits are functional operation tests for:
- Long Delay
- Short Delay
- Instantaneous
- Ground Fault (if present)
Megger
- Checks the integrity of the frame
- Ensures no electricity is being lost between phases
- No cracks or visible defacement of the frame
- Tests the resistance between phases
DLRO
- Tests the contact resistance of each phase
- Runs from Line to Load
- Ensures the contacts do not have any pivots or melting damage
Remember, only circuit breakers tested to RG Industries In-House Quality Assurance Program provide a tested, safe reliable protection device; and unlike many of our competitors is backed by $15 million in product liability insurance. Don't take risks with circuit breakers that cannot be verified as having passed re-qualification.
